So today our topic will be about the internet of things, such materials that are connected with the internet and of course with us, with our life! What is IOT?

IOT means internet of things, that is the things whatever is connected to the internet. It can be Heating systems, Computers, Laptops, CCTV Cameras, Air Conditioner, Traffic Lights & these can be your Clothes, your shoes and anything with a wi-fi enabled system! There are a lot of things invented in this time of modern science that are connected to the internet called the IOTS, internet of things!

Do you know what was the first iot device invented in the world? Think about it! You know it. The device is an ATM machine! The first iot device is ATM device which was invented in 1974! Before that, there wasn’t any iot concept even. So now if anyone asks you what was the first iot device invented, you can surely tell the answer, right?

Do you know that in the year of 2008 there was that much number of devices connected, that was even more than the number of people connected to the internet! This number was crossed in that year already and now we can’t even imagine the actual number of devices connected with the internet. Now the number of people that are connected with the internet has also been gradually increased. Nowadays, almost each and everything is connected with the internet. That’s a great achievement and on the other hand it also creates huge risk factors, which we’ll talk about later!

If we talk about the biggest companies like Samsung & Google, they already knew the greatest future of the iot devices. Here Samsung has done its great deal by taking the patient of the future technology like “Smart Home Technology”. Now the profit of this technology belongs to Samsung Company. Another smart & future technology patient named “Thermostat” has been already taken by Google! Google has already bought the patient of the self-driving car concept, which proves that in the future this technology is going to have a great profit and also popularity. Now the company NVIDIA has already started to make computer chipsets which can be used in self-driving cars named “Pegasus”. So these technologies are going to be seen so soon!

You may be surprised by knowing that now even some shoes are available which have inbuilt chipset and are connected to the internet. Even some clothes or wearable products are available which also shows some important updates about your body, like your body temperature and so on! Each of the components will have chipsets like Raspberry-pi and connected with the internet! So if you want to monitor these data like how much data is consumed by the shoes you wear or the clothes of your body, you will be just one click beyond to get the accurate data! These are obviously great to hear but along with that the risks of the Data Threats will also be increased so much!

Do you know that in recent times, according to the most experienced cyber security expert, iot and artificial intelligence technology is going to be the great threat. This threat risk has surpassed the threat risk percentage of the nuclear missiles! Now why is this considered by the experts? Artificial intelligence technology means the technology used in robots like things that have the ability to think individually!  & according to the iot technology, each of the things is connected to the internet. Now as each and everything is connected to the internet and artificial intelligence has the ability to think freely, it can think about destroying anything! Now suppose in nuclear weapons technology, artificial intelligence is used. Since they can think individually and they can do anything they want! So these things are getting more complicated and creating the greatest threat to humanity day by day!

Do you know that if iot systems are being used in our kitchen then the food related market will make 15% more profit in their business! Using these technologies you’ll permit them to use the “data” of your fridge, so they will know which food is short in your fridge and they’ll show the ads of that food which might create urgency to you to buy that food from your nearest store! So in this way they will get more profits and will know your food habits also.
